Last of Winter

I’m an optimist when it comes to the weather, no doubt, but I’m really hoping this is the last fresh snow you will be seeing in my outfit posts. I loved this past winter but I am so looking forward to the spring. This outfit is a good transition look for this time of year. The jacket is long and wool so it keeps me warm, but it is oversized and has an airy feel – perfect for spring. The crisp white linen top underneath definitely hints at warmer weather and grounds the coat and scarf well. The scarf adds the springy pop of colour I was looking for and I love how the bright colour contrasts with the otherwise neutral outfit. A crazy pop like this can totally make an outfit. I was kinda pushing it wearing my sneakers out in the snow, but now that the snow is gone this is just the type of outfit I will be wearing for the next couple of weeks. Warm enough that the leftover winter winds don’t chill me, but light and airy enough to say ‘Hellooo spring!’

Thanks to my mom, who has the best accessories in town, for loaning me this amazing scarf and beautiful silver elephant bracelet.

Excited for warmer weather when I can wear these on the daily! I opted for these Adidas ‘Miss Stan’ because they were a bit more dainty than the classic ‘Stan Smith’ or Superstars. I love both of those styles too (they take me back to grade 7!) but I felt more feminine in the ‘Miss Stan’. These will be perfect to wear with skirts!

What I’m Wearing…
Jacket: Pret Pour Partir
Top: Bryn Walker (same)
Jeans: Citizen of Humanity (similar splurge, similar save)
Shoes: Adidas ‘Miss Stan’ (same)
