Casual Date Night in Bench #LoveMyHood

Bench Clothing Outfit

Summer evenings are my absolute favourite time of day. Because we live so close to the water, we like to go for evening walks and take advantage of all the waterfront has to offer. I put together this outfit of items from Bench for a casual night out last week. We grabbed a drink on a patio nearby, and then walked along the water home.

Bench has been a brand that I have always come back to over the years. I remember in high school saving for an olive green hoodie with the word Bench. in lime green written down the arm. I was so proud of it and felt cool every time I wore it. Last week I was looking for a comfortable outfit that I could dress up a bit and these Bench items fit the bill perfectly. I love the soft skirt and loose shirt together. The pieces are comfortable, but feminine. The jacket adds the perfect pop of colour and structure and is a great thickness for summer evenings or fall days. When I first tried this jacket on and saw the back neckline in the mirror I had the same cool feelings all over again – as when I wore my first Bench hoodie back in high school. I knew I had to get it!

Bench Maxi Skirt

Bench Clothing Outfit

The best part about this skirt?! It’s a maxi skirt too! I was so surprised when I realized that you could button the hem to wear this skirt short or long. SUCH a great idea! Oh yeah…it also just went on sale!

I’m loving this look! Looks so comfy but still chic! I would probably pair it with sneakers (cause I’m such a lazy person to wear heels haha)! But I adore your sandals. Loving it 🙂

Thanks so much Aneta!! I totally considered sneakers with this outfit, I think they would look great too! I went for the heels just to dress it up a tad though…and I have worn these ones so much that they are almost as comfortable as sneakers! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hi Emily! I’m not writing as a fashion anything, since I’m not exactly a fashion girl, but I support people with a passion (like indie fashion designers, jewlery makes, writers, potters, ingenious plumbers, ingenious electricians, small entrepreneurs, etc.) with free advertising. I do this for free. Although many have told me it’s hard to believe, it’s true. I’m convinced the world needs more entrepreneurs – hard-working people with a passion, not greedy business minds. So to cut to the chase: Do you happen to know such people who need free advertising? Maybe fashion designers (I just published an article about one based in Germany). I’d publish articles about them on my blog and later in September start a promotion campaign in Germany, with me translating some promotional material into German at no charge. I’d be really happy to read from you!
