You’ve Got Flare

Dark flared jeans paired with a soft blush top worn by blogger Threads & Blooms

Bringing back bell bottoms

They’re baaaaack! I’m talking about my bell bottoms of course. And to be completely honest, I have a feeling that they might be more of a trend and not back for good but I had some fun and got a pair. I found this pair of bell bottoms on Shopbop and they had so much going for them I had to give them a shot. They are a dark wash, have stretch, lots of good reviews, a giant flare, come in a short version (no altering, woop!), and they are 70% off. I had to!

I paired my bell bottoms with this soft pink tie up top from Forever 21. I find that when wearing flares I like to tuck in my top. It accentuates the waist which balances the large flare. I have worn these flares with a tight turtlneck tucked in; a large baggy sweater tucked in just at the front; and this top which is in-between on the ‘tight-loose scale’ and they all worked perfectly. The length of the jeans is the perfect length for me to wear with these flats which have a 1 inch heel (I am 5’4″ for reference). Originally I thought I would only wear bell bottoms with heels to elongate my leg but being able to wear them with flats means more comfort but also that they are more appropriate for day time and work. Guys, I don’t know if you can tell…but I am loving my flares! 😉

We did a bit of exploring in the city on Friday and went to Allan gardens where these photos were taken. I felt like I took a trip somewhere tropical – worth a visit if you are in the city!

These look so great on you! Loving the mood of these photos. Your lace up top an hint of leopard in the shoes is so good. Shopbop has the best denim! I just ordered a fun pair from there too.

I tend to tuck my lose tops into my flare jeans too, I feel it also helps with elongating my short legs 🙂

That blouse is so pretty, I love the boho-esque front of it. It pairs so well with the jeans for just a hint of vintage vibes! Great look 🙂
