Wide Leg Pants for Spring

How to wear wide legged pants in summer

Wondering How to Wear Wide Leg Pants?

I really like wide leg pants and try to have a pair in my wardrobe for each season. These ones, in linen, are great for the warmer seasons and the soft colour makes them a bit of a subdued statement piece. I have to admit, I’m not very tall and I don’t actually find this a super flattering silhouette for me. But, as a lover of fashion, I want to try it all and have fun with my wardrobe so heck, I wear them anyway! Secretly, I also kind of like the challenge of wearing different silhouettes and finding new ways to ‘work it’. With this style I find a high waist is great to elongate your leg to balance the wide width of the pant, and if you don’t mind wearing them, heels are always great to make you stand taller! I opted for platform sneakers this time to keep the look casual and went a little more loud with my top by mixing a bold stripe with a patterned scarf. A stripe paired with a louder patterned accent is a great way to ease into print mixing!

What I’m Wearing
Joe Fresh Wide Leg Linen Pants (this pair is old but these linen pants are this year’s equivalent at Joe Fresh and this pair by Alice & Olivia are very similar)
ASOS Platform sneakers
Vintage Chanel Scarf (bought at The Cat’s Meow in Toronto but there are lots to be found at vintage designer shops and online!)

I haven’t had any of these for years! I am sure my legs would be grateful for some.
