Little Black Dress from Eve and Enoch

Wearing a black dress for the Holidays

There comes a time when it is totally acceptable to fan girl over a new brand, and for me, that time is now. I’ve been following Eve & Enoch on Instagram for months now and am excited to be wearing some of their clothing and to share the brand with you. You know that supporting ‘made in Canada’ companies is my jam and Eve and Enoch hand makes all of their pieces at their studio in Edmonton. When I received this Natasha dress and my new Maya hoodie (which I will style here in a few weeks) in the mail, I couldn’t believe how beautiful the quality was. The fabric is so soft and comfortable and these are pieces I know are going to last.

Little black dress for a Christmas Party

I wore my black dress to a little Pre-Christmas get together over the weekend. The cinched waist and longer sleeves make this dress appropriate for many occasions. With a blazer, tights, and flats I will wear this dress to work (I’m writing this on the streetcar on my way to work and wearing exactly this!), and if I want to dress it up a bit I’ll let the awesome back detail show and wear it with heeled boots or booties. For this occasion, I dressed it up a bit with gold accessories on my purse, ring, necklace and shoes, and I wore it with a shawl that I took off inside to show off the detailing on the back.

Check out the Eve and Enoch website to see all their awesome pieces and to learn more about the company. And, on the topic of supporting local and Canadian designers, if you are in Toronto be sure to check out the One of a Kind show this week – it’s my favourite place to get my gift shopping done!

I do the same thing with new brands… I get freaking obsessed and stalk the heck out of them before splurging and buying a few pieces. Glad this gorgeous dress met your expectations! It looks absolutely beautiful on you and I was not expecting the pretty cut-out in the back. I love it and you look great, as always 😉 Hope you’re having a great week!

I love this dress! You’re right that it’s suitable for many different occassions. I love pieces like that, because they make me feel like I invested my money right. And the back detail is so cute!

I love how you accessorized this dress with golden jewellery and that you opted for brown boots instead of black, it really looks great! And your vintage shawl is amazing, I’m jealous 🙂
