Brewery Niagara-on-the-Lake

So Long, Summer

For me, the only sadness that comes with the end of summer is the end of awesome days like this one here – hanging out with friends and sipping beer outside. Wait, beer?! Yes, it’s true. I drink beer! Admittedly, I’m mostly a wine and cocktail girl, but a few breweries have changed me a little. Including this one here – Oast House – a lovely Niagara-on-the-Lake brewery. The perfect stop to add on to your next Niagara Region Wine Tour!

As I have mentioned here many times before, wine touring is one of my favourite things to do. Whether it be in the Niagara Region (check out my posts on Dillon’s Distillery and Legends Winery and many more winery features in the works!) or Prince Edward County (check out my Prince Edward County Guide) or any other wonderful wine region of the world. If I am at a winery I am basically at my happy place. BUT, adding a brewery into a day of wine touring is something I am totally down for! Oast House is a Niagara-on-the-Lake brewery and has quickly become a favourite for all the locals.

Just like the wineries of the area, Oast House has a beautiful tasting room where you can try their beers and purchase your faves afterwards. They have lovely seasonal fruit beers which I love! The strawberry rhubarb is one of my favourite beers ever and the apricot is a close second. And, if you are having a party, you can even order kegs! We ordered a few of their Barn Raiser kegs this summer when we had all of our cousins to visit. Definitely a (HUGE) step up from what I used to have as keg beer 😉 – everyone loved it.

Tide and Vine Oysters

In Conclusion…

So, long story short…I really like this place. I spent a few afternoons this summer (including the one photographed here) out on their patio. Beautiful views of the surrounding vineyard, good food, great beer and obviously, great company. There really isn’t anything missing! This was one of the final weekends of summer when our friends Andrew and Lissi visited the Niagara Region. As beer lovers, this seemed like a good place to go!

This place looks great! I’ve always wanted to visit Niagara, my mother in law lives in London, ON which is pretty close I think. One day I’ll get there!
