THE INDEX

Riverdale Farm, Toronto

Afternoon at Riverdale Farm

This summer has flown past and I feel like I’ve barely spent any time in Toronto. During the wedding season I spend a lot of my time in the Niagara Region where my studio is located. It sounds like a lot of back and forth but it really isn’t. I’ve got a bit of a schedule figured out that makes it fairly easy. Although I do spend a few days here in Toronto each week, Dan graciously takes his days off each week on the days when I really need his help. That’s usually on Wednesday for flower pick ups, and Saturday for wedding set ups. I love having his help but the downside is that on the days when I am in the city (my ‘weekend’) he is at work all day because he took his weekend to work with me.

Oh dear, where was I going with this?!?! Oh yeah! I didn’t have a wedding last week so Dan and I had a few days to hang out in the city. Where did we decide to go?! Riverdale Farm!

Even after living in this city for 5 years it’s amazing that we are still discovering fun places right downtown. That feeling of new discovery was definitely the case with Riverdale Farm. Riverdale Farm is a lovely spot in Cabbagetown to come for a walk. First things first, we grabbed a milkshake across the street and then explored the grounds. There were animals, lots of flowers, and a beautiful (I mean seriously enchanting) pond. More than Riverdale Farms being a great place for us to visit this would be a really fun spot to bring kids. I did hear about it from my 3 year old nieces after all!

Gimme All Those Outfit Details!

I picked up this top at Anthropologie  – I loved the bold pattern and the embroidery. I also went jeans shopping for probably the first time in a year last week and got these new Levi’s. I used to try on Levi’s every year when I did my annual jeans shopping and I could never find a pair that fit. I’m not sure if they changed their styles or my shape changed but they have become one of my favourite jeans brands right up there with J Brand and Paige. My first pair of Levi’s was the wedgie jean that I purchased last year from Anthropologie. They have been my go-to pair for the last year and have worn well with all the washing and wearing. This pair is the 501 and they are a bit distressed with a loose fit.

What I’m Wearing: Anthropologie Gingham top (just sold out :()// Levi’s 501 Tapered Jeans // Vintage Bag and Sunglasses
