I’ll Take all the Cane Furniture, Please

Filed in: Home & Garden

All About Cane Furniture

I’ve recently started to love Pinterest again (I say again because I first loved it like 10 years ago and then took a long loveless hiatus). For many years, when I went on Pinterest infrequently, I was finding that I would scroll forever and nothing interested me. However, once I pinned just a few images I really loved, Pinterest started to curate my home feed. Needless to say, they’re really good at it and I’ve been full on obsessed with Pinterest since. It seems that most recently Pinterest has picked up my love of cane furniture because the last couple of days I can’t get through one scroll without seeing another beautiful space featuring a unique cane furniture item.

I spend my childhood in my mom’s interior design studio so my love for furniture and interiors rund deep. One thing I’ve always loved is cane chairs – they’re warm with wood and interesting with texture. I’ve always loved the simple midcentury designs by Marcel Breuer (I missed a set of these on Kijiji last week and I’ll be forever sad about it) and Thonet. However, I have recently found that cane furniture comes in so many more forms than just chairs. Let me tell ya, I am definitely here for it.

Below I am sharing 15 beautiful pieces of cane furniture currently available on the web. I’m so inspired by all of these items to add a bit of cane into my own space and I’m thinking a DIY project is in my not too distant future…stay tuned!
