This past weekend my good friend got married and my friend Adriana and I were asked to do the flowers. This was my first wedding where I’ve done the flowers with somebody else and boy is it a lot more enjoyable and easier! It was a busy few days leading up to the wedding but it all paid off and looked great in the end when our vision came together. Most importantly, we had a happy Bride and Groom and they had a beautiful wedding. The wedding night was such a great time with all my friends from university. A wonderful way to spend the last weekend of summer!
Table centre pieces, 19 in total
We used hydrangea as the primary flower in the centrepiece along with a mix of spider mums, eucalyptus, and roses. Hydrangea are a great flower for a compact style of centrepiece like this. They have a large bloom so they create a dramatic impact from a far and for a really reasonable cost. Think about it – hydrangea is the size of 5 blooms for the cost of 1! A hydrangea centrepiece is always my suggestion for a simple and affordable tablescape that packs a punch. Would you consider a hydrangea centrepiece?
The Bridesmaids’ bouquets all set out
This Bridal bouquet featured roses, ranunculus, anenome, and succulents. The succulents were a soft green so we used greens such as eucalyptus and dusty miller to compliment the softer tones.
