Shearling

Shearling Coat

Last month Dan and I took a quick trip to NYC. It is one of our favourite cities and we have never been around Christmas time before. It was so festive and magical!

It is always a bit of a challenge deciding what to pack for a weekend trip. When travelling, my main goal is to be comfortable so I can enjoy all the places I want to see. We always do A LOT of walking so comfortable shoes are a must. The weather in NYC happened to be quite warm when we were there, but being warm is always really important to me…I can’t tolerate the cold! Finally, as much as I love my tiny purses, a fair size purse makes is so convenient and makes it easy to keep all your important things like your passports, a water bottle, a map, camera etc. on you while travelling.

I find if you have these 3 things in order – comfortable shoes; weather appropriate layers; and a purse that carries everything you need then you’re all set to explore a new city (and be fashionable too!)!

Pairing that shearling coat with that cognac bag and ripped skinnies was GENIUS! Beautiful styling!

    Emily!!
For some reason, the link to the dress that you modelled on your New Years blog, seems to be broken or inactive! It’s so stunning, just wondered if I could get the style number or the link to it, if it is still available for purchase!
    Sooo nice.
