Peach cobbler is a simple and delicious dessert. This cobbler can be made using any fresh and seasonal fruit and is best paired with ice cream!
Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl. Add the milk and egg and mix the bowl until there are no clumps.
Peel and slice your peaches. Cut the cherries off of the pit. Combine the two in a bowl and stir with the sugar and cinnamon. Depending on the season, feel free to use different fruit! 2 cups of fruit is perfect for this sized cobbler.
Heat your oven to 400 degrees. Add the butter to your cast iron skillet (or whatever cooking pan you choose) and add to the oven to melt.
Remove your skillet from the oven with the melted butter and pour your dough mixture into the skillet. Next, add the fruit mixture on top and do no stir.
Add your cobbler to the oven and bake until the top and edges are browned. This should take about 20-25 minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Best served warm and with ice cream. Enjoy!
