3 Ultimate Grilled Cheese Recipes

Filed in: Recipes

Fancy Grilled Cheese Recipes
Grilled Cheese is the ultimate comfort food. It’s been one of my favourite lunches for as long as I can remember. While you can never go wrong with the traditional grilled cheese, I took it on myself this weekend to come up with 3 totally different ways to make this awesome lunch food. Do you like spicy? Sweet? Flavourful? We’ve got you covered with these 3 fancy grilled cheese recipes.

Grilled Cheese with Sriracha
The Spread: Sriracha hot sauce
The Cheese: Jalepeno Havarti
The Toppings: Tomato, avocado
The Verdict: A grilled cheese with a kick but the creamy avocado evens it all out. Avocado saves the day again.

Grilled Cheese with Maple Syrup
The Spread: Maple Syrup
The Cheese: Sharp Cheddar Cheese (I used Balderson)
The Toppings: Apples, carmelized onions
The Verdict: Insert Canadian stereotype here. This sandwich proves that everything really does taste better with maple syrup.

Grilled Cheese with Pesto
The Spread: Pesto
The Cheese: Mozarella
The Toppings: Tomato
The Verdict: Caprese salad meets panini – the sophisticated sister to a traditional grilled cheese.

MMMMMMMM! I was being facetious and told my bf that I would make this for him. I honestly would though. But a huge chunk of it would be missing…
