6 Holiday Cocktails to Get You in the Festive Spirit

Holiday Cocktails to Get you in the Festive Spirit! A winter sangria, a chai tea toddy, a pumpkin spice cocktail, a hot peppermint mocha and more!

Is it seriously time for Holiday Cocktails Already?

Well, just like that it’s November 2! I seriously can’t believe it. It feels like a month ago it was spring and I couldn’t even tell you where summer and fall went. The silver lining to the ridiculous speed at which time is flying? We are getting closer to Christmas! Hopefully I’m not the only one around here excited about that! I usually hold off until the middle of November to start sharing any holiday content but I was feeling festive today and  thought I’d dip my toes in with a little holiday cocktail recipe round up post.

Holiday cocktails are one of my favourite things to make in the cold months. A warm drink puts me right in the festive spirit. If you aren’t looking ahead to Christmas time just yet, these holiday cocktails are great to enjoy on any chilly evening (and without alcohol too!) and, with American Thanksgiving still to come, these are great for serving at Thanksgiving. Here are our 6 favourite holiday cocktails and I can’t wait to share more with you this year.

1. The Peppermint Mocha

This is the sweetest recipe of the bunch and uses Kahlua and Baileys. It is a little bit chocolate-y, coffee-y and creamy but still totally unique with hints of fresh mint and sea salt.

2. The Chai Toddy

The chai hot toddy is a whisky drink and a take on a traditional hot toddy. It has tasty notes of cinnamon and citrus.

A different take on a hot toddy made with chai tea and Collingwood Whisky - a warm and spicy Chrismtas cocktail!

3. A Winter White Wine Sangria

This is a twist on a summer classic. This crisp holiday drink has notes of rosemary and anise and is topped with sugar coated cranberries.

White sangria recipe. Winter sangria made with XOXO wine and has hints of cranberry, pomegranate, ginger, and more to make this a great holiday cocktail!

4. The Pear & Ginger Twist

Warm notes of winter pear, ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg in this vodka cocktail.

5. Pumpkin Spice Latte Cocktail

Coffee, pumpkin, and spice! This cocktail tastes just like the real deal but with a bit of a boozy kick 😉

6. Mulled Pear Cider

Perfect warm drink for a cold night. A classic mulled cider with a mulled pear to boot and just as good without alcohol.

Let me know if you try any of these cocktails this holiday season! Do you have a favourite holiday cocktail recipe? I’d love to hear from you!
